Terms of use

King 1x1 is the international 1-on-1 basketball circuit. The website and app let you follow the World Ranking, register for tournaments, buy tickets, vote, watch live broadcasts (King TV) and, with Open Court, arrange to meet other players on public courts and earn Crowns.

• The account is personal: one player profile per person, with accurate information (name, date of birth, country).
• You log in with a one-time code sent to your e-mail address. Do not share it with anyone; you are responsible for the use of your account.
• You can ask to delete your account at any time by writing to contact@king1x1.com.

A player under 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who can withdraw it at any time. For tournaments, the legal guardian’s authorisation also covers image rights. Open Court meetings between minors take place under the responsibility of their legal guardians.

Fair play is mandatory, in tournaments as in Open Court. The following are prohibited: insults, harassment, discrimination, violence, cheating, fake scores, impersonation, multiple accounts, the use of bots or scripts, and the posting of content that is unlawful, shocking or infringes the rights of others (for example, a photo of a person without their consent).

In case of a breach, the association may warn, suspend or delete the account, cancel results, votes, points and Crowns, and refuse access to an event.

Registration for a tournament is subject to the official rules and the terms of sale. Only tournaments approved by King 1x1 earn points for the World Ranking, which is calculated automatically from the public points scale. The association may correct a result or a ranking in case of error or fraud.

Open Court connects players to play 1-on-1 games on public courts. The association does not organise, supervise or referee these games, and does not reserve the courts: a public court remains open access and may be occupied.

• Each player is responsible for their own play: health, equipment, respect for the venue, other users and regulations. Check the condition of the court before playing.
• Third-party liability insurance and, if possible, personal accident insurance are recommended.
• Courts come from open sources (the Ministry of Sports’ census of sports facilities, OpenStreetMap). Their location, condition, access and lighting are not guaranteed. You can report an error to us.
• For your safety: meet in a public place, preferably in daylight, tell someone close to you, and do not share unnecessary personal information. A minor must be accompanied or have the consent of their legal guardian.
• The score of a duel is declared by one player and confirmed by their opponent in the app; without confirmation, the duel does not count.

Crowns are street points with no monetary value, non-transferable and non-refundable, and they do not count towards the World Ranking. Rewards (badge, discount, T-shirt, wildcard, etc.) are those shown in the app, subject to validation by the King 1x1 team and availability. The association may change the scale and correct points in case of error or fraud. Crowns are lost when the account is deleted.

One vote per poll and per account, which can be changed while the poll is open. Votes obtained through multiple accounts or automated means may be cancelled.

Shop products are sold by Streetball Store under its own terms; the association is not a party to these sales. We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites to which the service links.

You remain the owner of your content (profile photo, for example) and you guarantee that you have the rights to post it. You authorise the association to display it within the service (profile, ranking, track record). Photos and videos taken during tournaments are covered by the image rights terms accepted at registration.

The service, its trademarks, logos and content are protected (see the legal notice). You have a personal, non-exclusive right of use for the duration of your account.

The service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance or in the event of an incident. The association is not liable for indirect damages, nor for accidents occurring during Open Court games or the use of public courts.

Nothing in these terms excludes the association’s liability in case of gross or intentional misconduct, nor the rights that the law gives you as a consumer.

We may change these terms; the update date appears at the top of the page. In case of a significant change, we will let you know in the app or by e-mail. Continuing to use the service means you accept the changes.

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, first write to us at contact@king1x1.com to find an amicable solution. You can also use the consumer mediation described in the terms of sale. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory rules applicable to consumers.
